Mark worked in community mental health services in Vermont and New Hampshire for 31 years through 2014. His work focused initially on supporting individuals in the community suffering from chronic and persistent mental illness. More recently, he worked as the clinical coordinator, supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities within the Developmental Services division of Health Care and Rehabilitation Service. Mark received his master’s of arts in education with a specialization in psychiatric rehabilitation from Johnson State College.
Currently Mark is the Executive Director at Senior Solutions, the Council on Aging for Southeastern Vermont and is a trained Person-Centered Planning options counselor and a geriatric care coordinator with certification through the national Aging Life Care Association.
Mark is very active musically in the Upper Valley. He sings with the Bel Canto Chamber Singers choral group in the Upper Valley, and periodically sits in with the Peter Concilio Jazz Trio of Hartland. He regularly sings solo performances in area churches and at the Upper Valley Music Center. Mark has performed within the past few years in the musical theater productions of Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte with the Echo Valley Community Arts, 1776 with the We the People Theater group and in Curtains with the North Country Community Theater.
Mark lives in Hartland, Vermont, with his wife, Susan, and their cat, Ulysses.
