Janet English

Woodstock

Janet English earned her BA at Vassar College, her MSW at New York University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Adelphi University. She completed her Internship at The Massachusetts Mental Health Center and did her psychoanalytic training at The Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. Janet has been a practicing psychologist and psychoanalyst in Boston, MA for over 25 years. In addition to her clinical work Janet served on the faculty at The Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute, The Massachusetts Institute of Psychoanalysis and the Tufts University Medical Center, Psychiatry Department. Janet and her husband relocated to South Woodstock in 2022. She has a small clinical practice in Woodstock.

Janet served on the Board of The North Bennet Street School in Boston from 2012-2020 and has been an Advisor there since her Board term ended. She currently serves on the Board of The Thompson Senior Center in Woodstock. Janet and her husband have two grown children who, along with their spouses, enjoy all the outdoor activities Vermont’s six seasons have to offer.
