Sharing the Warmth: An OHF Community Event
October 15 - December 30Free
Calling all knitters and crocheters in our community The Ottauquechee Health Foundation is inviting you to share the warmth by joining us in a community event.
We’re looking to gather a collection of wool workers to make hats, scarves, and mittens for people in need in our communities. The completed items will be given to children and adults at various sites, including schools, community buildings, food shelfs, and churches.
You can work on your own, of course, but we may have some Zoom groups in which we can work together, learn more about each other, and members of the OHF can share the work we do.
The pieces you make don’t have to be fancy. They just need to be warm!
We’re asking you to provide the wool and the time to make these items. It might be the perfect way for you to get rid of that extra yarn!
If you have a favorite pattern for a hat, scarf, or mittens and want to share it with your fellow knitters or crocheters, send it to us and we’ll be sure to share.
Monetary donations are welcome as well, which will be applied to “Sharing the Warmth” to those in need.
Dates for this event are October 15 to December 30, 2020.
