I would like to introduce you to Jessa.
Jessa has Sotos syndrome, meaning her body develops twice as fast as usual, leading to the need for significant dental procedures. Jessa’s family used to be able to cover those costs with insurance, but when a family member passed and Jessa turned 21, that insurance was lost.
With Jessa’s mother on a limited income, the family needed to seek further assistance. The Ottauquechee Health Foundation provided a Good Neighbor Grant and guided the family to additional resources. That assistance and guidance was crucial for Jessa’s mom and Jessa, who is now feeling confident and pain-free because of our assistance.
The Ottauquechee Health Foundation assists hundreds of community members like Jessa overcome the financial stress that health and wellness challenges impose on our neighbors every day. Good Neighbor Grants are the backbone of our funding programs. Good Neighbor Grants are of utmost importance to assist those with limited financial resources, allowing them to access essential health and wellness services that might have otherwise been out of reach. These services include medical care, dental care and dentures, hearing aids, eyeglasses, mental health counseling, and homecare grants. With your support, we are able to help people like Jessa receive the essential care that they need.
Can we count on you to donate this year? Any amount you can contribute will help!
The Ottauquechee Health Foundation continues to be there for our communities, one grant, one neighbor, one friend, one need at a time. We need your help, one donation at a time, to ensure that we are adequately funded to continue meeting the needs of the people we serve.
We hope you find inspiration in not only Jessa’s story but in all of the untold stories of the hundreds of people your support will touch. Your donations don’t just help; they change lives. Donate Now
